Komodo for Education

Komodo makes creating engaging presentations simple. You don't need any video editing sills to get professional presentations! You can also customize elements - like adding your logo, favicon, or company colors - to brand each of your presentations.

Record

Record your screen via the Komodo chrome extension or app on any device and you're set. if you're unhappy with the outcome, create another one - you have unlimited video storage space.

Edit

Once you're recording is ready, go to the video editor and make any changes you wish. The editing process is intuitive and you'll understand what you need to do if you give it a try.

When your presentation is ready, simply send people a link or create a unique folder with your other presentations and grant access to those that need to see it

You can organize your courses into as many subfolders as you need. Each subfolder can include the relevant videos and you control who access to the folders. If you only need to send out a single video, then share it via a link, while limiting access to your other videos.

Create a custom domain for your company and as many folders or subfolders as you need. You can organize your video materials as you like and share the folders with people that need to see your presentations. Your custom domain can (and should) include your business name so that everything you share is always on-brand

Answering some of your common questions

Unlimited free recording, really? What's the catch?

We didn't believe in limiting people's ability to record, so we designed Komodo from the ground up to support unlimited usage even for free accounts. The difference between free and upgraded plans, however, is the video resolution and premium features. We felt that a lower resolution on the free plan was better than limiting the number of videos or their length.

Is there a free trial for the paid plans?

Komodo doesn't have a free trial for the Pro and Team plans because our Starter plan is free for as long as you need it. This way you can get a good sense of how you like Komodo. If you need premium features like link expiration, password protection, video embed, etc., or want to create a team plan, you can upgrade whenever you want. You can always book a call with us so we can answer any questions you may have.

What is the reason to upgrade to a premium plan?

The premium plan offers a higher resolution recording option. There are also many premium features such as direct uploads, folder management, team collaboration, editing and exporting videos and many others listed in our pricing comparison page.

What does the Page Builder do?

Have you ever sent a video link in an email, but the email included a bunch of other stuff - like PDFs, Google Doc links and your calendar? That's why we built the Komodo page builder! Basically, you make your video, turn it into a page, and then add all your other deliverables. You share the entire page of deliverables as a single link. It keeps everything organized. (And it makes you look SO good to your client, boss, or team.)

Who owns my videos?

All of the content created by you on our platform is solely yours. You have the option to download and remove it at any time.

Is there video editing functionality?

Yes! A cloud video editor is available that supports transcript based editing. This feature can be used on the free plan with a limited feature set.

Are analytics available to see who watched my videos?

Yes. Analytics are visible for every video. If the viewer has a Komodo Account, you'll be able to see who viewed your video. Also you'll be able to see duration of the video watched.

Do you still have a deal on AppSumo?

We launched Komodo on AppSumo for a limited time as an introductory offer. We have since expanded Komodo to include more than just a screen-recording app. Also, giving you a responsive support team is a huge priority for us. Those are just some of the reasons we had to switch to a more typical subscription model. However, we continue to offer basic functionalities on our free plan to give everyone access to the product.
