Plugin – How to cluster keywords into groups

Navigate to the Project Planner in the Xagio plugin.

Xagio defaults the clustering by setting the “Minimum Word Matches” and “Minimum Cluster Size” values to 2. 

Start by increasing the "Minimum Word Matches" to 4.

Set the "Minimum Cluster Size" value to 4.

Add any additional words to ignore for cluster matching.

On, will include common prepositions in group names.
Off, will exclude common prepositions in group names.

Optional: toggle the "Prepositions" switch to on

Check if the keyword clustering is OK and repeat steps 5 and 6 with lower values if the clusters are too broad. 

If you have a large “Miscellaneous” keyword group, these steps will further break it down. 

Click on the “Actions” button in the Miscellaneous group.

Click on the "Preview Cluster" button and review the clustered groups.

When you're happy with the results, click on the "Cluster Keywords" button.

Do this for groups that you don't want to target on your website. 

Delete any unwanted clusters by clicking on the "Delete Group" button.

Click, drag, and drop keywords between groups to manually refine the clusters.

This helps to identify clusters that are ready for on-page optimization. 

Rename keyword clusters once you're done.
